Brief Vita of Gordon Talk
Gordon was born in Ingleside and grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Centenary College in Shreveport, Perkins School of Theology at SMU, and Brite School of Divinity at TCU.
He was ordained an elder in the Southwest Texas Conference in 1966 and has served as pastor in churches throughout the Southwest Texas Conference. His most recent appointment in the Southwest Texas Conference was at Beeville, here in the Corpus Christi District. For the last three years he has been a pastor in the Kentucky Conference near to his children and grandchildren.
Gordon is married to Clarice. Clarice is a native of Louisiana and grew up in Methodist Parsonages in that state. Gordon and Clarice have three children, John who is an Episcopalian priest in Dayton, Ohio. John is married to Shelly and they have five children. Rachel, who teaches special education in Lexington, Kentucky and has two children, and Andrew who is a research neuroscientist at Northwestern university in Chicago. Andrew is married to Andrea, and they will be moving to teach in a university in Australia in the near future.
